The project will construct a business park on approximately 60 acres of vacant land adjacent to the Burbank Bob Hope Airport consisting of the following components:
 
  • Six, two-story buildings for industrial/warehouse uses totaling 1,014,887 square feet;
  • Nine, two-story buildings for creative office uses totaling 142,250 square feet;
  • Two, one-story buildings for retail/restaurant uses totaling approximately 15,154 square feet;Avion site aerial photo
  • One hotel with 166 rooms;
  • Complete site improvements related to the project including utilities, drainage, paving, landscaping, lighting, etc.
  • Extend, improve, and dedicate Tulare Avenue west of Hollywood Way;
  • Extend, improve, and dedicate Kenwood Street south to the future Tulare Avenue.
The project site is surrounded by industrial/storage uses (to the north and east), the Burbank Bob Hope Airport (to the west and south), and vacant parcels. North Hollywood Way abuts the easterly boundary of the project site, and North San Fernando Road is to the north, and Winona Avenue is to the south.

  • March 26, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. - City Council meeting - City Council Chambers at 275 E. Olive Ave in Burbank. The City Council will vote to approve or deny the project, and whether to certify the Environmental Impact Report (EIR). See the public notice
  • March 20, 2019 at 4:00 p.m - Special City Council meeting - The City Council will be conducting a lot site visit. Please see the meeting agenda
  • February 25, 2019 at 6:00 p.m - Planning Board meeting - The Planning Board approved the project and made a recommendation to the City Council on whether to approve or deny the project, and whether to certify the Environmental Impact Report (EIR). The meeting agenda, staff report, and video is available online. 
  • September 10, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. - Planning Board meeting - The Planning Board held a meeting to obtain public comments (verbal or written) on the Draft EIR. This meeting will be held in the Council Chambers in the Burbank City Hall located at 275 E Olive Avenue in Burbank. The meeting agenda, staff report, and video is available online
  • June 29, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. - Community and Scoping meeting - A community meeting and EIR Scoping Meeting was held in Community Room 104 at the Community Services Building at 150 N. Third Street in Burbank.  The purpose of the meeting was to present the project and to receive comments on any potential environmental impacts that should be studied in the Draft EIR.    
  • June 29, 2017 - Community and Scoping Meeting
  • July 8, 2017 - Public comment period for Initial Study
  • September 28, 2018 - Public comment period for Draft Environmental Impact Report
  • September 10, 2018 - Planning Board Meeting
  • February 15, 2019 - Public comment period for the Environmental Impact Report
  • February 25, 2019 - Planning Board Meeting

  • April 16, 2019 - City Council approved the Avion project.

  • May 2021 - Creative Industrial, Creative Office and Retail Complete.
  • Mid 2022 - Hotel Complete.
  • Draft Initial Study was circulated for public comment and review, in preparation of an Environmental Impact Report (EIR). The public comment period ended on July 8, 2017. Hardcopies are available at the Planning Division office. The State Clearinghouse number for the EIR is 2017061019.
